There are many ways to contribute to Restore or Retreat and support effective coastal restoration efforts in the Barataria and Terrebonne Basins of Louisiana:
Annual Donation
Donating annually by cash, check credit card, or online is always tax-deductible and the simplest and most direct way to contribute.
Employee Giving
Many employers will match your donations to non-profit organizations dollar-for-dollar. This includes membership payments. Some companies match only a percentage of your gift. Check with your employer to see if your company has a matching program.
Gifts of Securities
Donating appreciated stock benefits both the donor and Restore or Retreat.
The donor receives two tax-related benefits. First, the appreciated value of the donated stock is not subject to capital gains taxes. Second, the donor can deduct the fair market value of the stock as a charitable contribution (subject to IRS rules).
Gifts in Memory or in Honor of a Loved One
There are many times when you want to say something special to a family member, friend or associate. A gift to Restore or Retreat in honor or memory of a special person will help continue our mission of achieving sustainability for our irreplaceable region, while giving you a unique opportunity to commemorate a birthday, anniversary, wedding, holiday, retirement, graduation, or the loss of a loved one. Your thoughtfulness will be acknowledged immediately to the person or family you are honoring.
Donations of Products (In-Kind)
Product donations for special events such as the ROR Annual Meeting or "Barnstorming to Save Our Coast" reduce our organization's overall expenses and help us spend more funds on our mission.
Donation of Time and Services
Restore or Retreat often could use volunteers for different organizational and community events. ROR also has a great network within the community to direct volunteers to other volunteer opportunities such as beach sweeps and coastal plantings.
